A woman was sexually assaulted in a village near Boroughbridge.
North Yorkshire Police today said man who was not known to the victim sexually assaulted her on the afternoon of Thursday, June 19, in Aldborough.
The incident occurred near the River Ure.
Police are now appearing for information about the incident, and said the man they are looking for is white and between 30 and 40.
He was wearing light brown shorts, a blue top and a black hoodie or jacket at the time.
Today’s statement added:
We’re particularly appealing for information from people who may have been in the area at the time, and who could assist with identifying the man.
