A new café has opened as an extension of the Crown Hotel in Harrogate.
The Place uses predominantly Yorkshire produce and its menu ranges from beef smash burgers to crab and avocado sandwiches. Side dishes include Jack Daniels pigs-in-blankets and spinach-feta loaded hash browns. Coffee and pastries are available for daytime visitors.
The Place also offers locally-made gifts and trinket-style items in its gift corner, and in the evening it doubles as a bar, with an outdoor terrace and drinks from the local Cold Bath Brewery.
Dan Siddle, general manager of the Crown Hotel, said:
Our new offering truly establishes us as The Place to be in Harrogate for daytime treats and evening drinks, especially as we enter the summer months.
Ellie Scanlon, food and beverage manager at The Place, says:
I am very excited about our new opening. The food menu is exciting and new and going down extremely well with everyone who dines with us.
