Knaresborough golfer John Parry has capped the best season of his career by qualifying for the 2026 PGA Tour.
The PGA Tour organises most of the top tournaments in the world, including golf's four major events.
It means he will be able to play on the top American tour as well as the European tour he has played on this year.
Parry secured qualification for the tour at last weekend's final event of the season in Dubai.
He needed to finish in the top 10 in the Race to Dubai rankings to qualify for the PGA Tour.
Parry actually finished 11th but because five higher ranked players had already qualified for the PGA Tour, he made the cut.
A tournament win in Mauritius and several top-three finishes have seen Parry earn over €1.6 million this year.
He secured over £200,000 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at the Old Course in St Andrews in October.
Parry's achievements this year means he will have ‘dual membership’ in 2026, meaning he can compete in events on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.
Parry is currently ranked the 94 in the world.
The 2026 DP World Tour begins next Thursday (November 27) with the BMW Australian PGA Championship, although Parry will not compete.
