Drivers have been delayed due to temporary traffic lights on a stretch of Otley Road, despite a date for work to start not yet being arranged.
According to a Stray Ferret reader, the traffic lights have been in place for five weeks but “no sign of life” has been seen on the road linking Beckwithshaw and Leathley.
Images show the stretch of road looking completely normal, but a line of cars queuing at the lights.
North Yorkshire Council said the temporary lights are in place after a vehicle struck the bridge parapet and that a date for repair has not been set.
It added that the traffic lights still needed to be in place “for safety due to the damage”.
