Harrogate‘s Rudding Park is to host a 10k multi-terrain trail race again this year.

The hotel and spa announced today the Rudding ParkRace will take place on a route around the grounds of the 18th century hotel on the evening of Tuesday, May 14.

Last year’s event, which was started by Olympic triathlon gold medallist Jonny Brownlee, raised £5,500 for the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.

Thus year’s race will support Martin House, Yorkshire Children Charity and Barnardo’s.

There are 500 places and entry costs between £26-£28. Entry on the day will not be available and the minimum age is 16 years old.

The race first took place in 2022. Last year’s winner was Tom Adams from Ilkley Harriers with a time of 35 minutes 13 secs.

Event organiser Matthew Wilkinson, who is head of kitchens at Rudding Park, said:

“Last year we welcomed over 400 runners who brought friends and family to cheer them on towards the finishing line. With Rudding House as the backdrop for the prize giving, music, hog roast and refreshments as the sun set, it made for a great party vibe.”
