A road near Harrogate is set to be closed for eight weeks due to maintenance work on a bridge.
Work is due to begin on Burley Bank Bridge on August 4, North Yorkshire Council said in a letter to nearby residents and businesses.
The work will mean Burley Bank Road, which runs between Penny Pot Lane and Skipton Road in Killinghall, will be closed throughout the work, although access for residents will be maintained.
The letter says a 24-hour road closure will be in place throughout the eight weeks, although the start date is subject to change. Besides motorists, pedestrians and cyclists will also not be able to use the bridge.
A diversion on Oaker Bank will be in place.

The letter adds:
The works planned include replacing the existing structure with a pipe, clad in the existing stone. The road will be widened to the east and kerb lines installed.
Advance warning signage advising of the works will be installed on site a minimum of two weeks in advance. Whilst the works are in progress, a fully signed diversion will be in place.
