Velstar Ltd., a leading Shopify Plus development and marketing agency, has announced the acquisition of 9xb, a B2B eCommerce agency founded in Harrogate.
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2004, 9xb was initially based in Knaresborough before moving to Harrogate. The agency specialises in the development of eCommerce solutions using Peracto.

Ripon market place
Ripon BID has launched the Premises Front Improvement Grant Scheme to help improve the city’s street appearance.
The scheme has a fund total of £15,000 and aims to improve public facing premises. The Match Funded Grants are available at 50% of the overall cost of works or up to a maximum of £750, whichever is lower.
To apply businesses must complete the Application Form, and need a quote from a contractor plus details of any proposed changes
Grants will be allocated on a first come first served basis and paid to the businesses (not the contractor) once they have provided us with their final invoice.

Synthotech robot
Ofwat’s Water Breakthrough Challenge has awarded two contracts worth £5.8m to Harrogate company Synthotech and its innovation division, Synovate.
Synthotech will use its latest robot to identify and repair links from within live water mains.
Ofwat’s Water Breakthrough Challenge will make around £40m available for water-sector innovations.
Synthotech’s robots can be deployed remotely for long distances, which speeds up the investigation process to improve health and safety and reduce environmental impact.
