The premises on Claro Road – now shut.

A meeting is set to take place to appoint a liquidator for a Harrogate caravan company as it faces the prospect of being wound-up.

Steve Mann Caravans, which traded from premises on Claro Road, was subject to a winding up order in July while it was under investigation for fraud and money-laundering.

The company appeared to have ceased trading in April, when North Yorkshire Police arrested three people as part of an investigation into fraud – a 38-year-old man, a 62-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man.

Now, an online creditors' meeting has been called by Lyndsey Burgess, the official receiver based in Leeds, on November 13.

According to a notice in The Gazette, the purpose of the meeting is to appoint a liquidator for the company as required under the Insolvency Act 1986.

The move comes as the Stray Ferret reported in June that the sole remaining director of Steve Mann Caravans was declared bankrupt.

The company was run by Steve Mann and his son, James Mann. James was declared bankrupt on June 10, following a creditor’s petition submitted to the County Court in Harrogate by Federal Capital Limited, a company that provides unsecured business loans.

Ten days later, his father Steve Mann, who founded the business in 1991, terminated his directorship of the company, leaving James, who lives in Ilkley, as its sole director
