A digger and trailer have been stolen in broad daylight from a residential street in Harrogate.

The machinery was stolen from an address on Wheatlands Road East at 3.25pm on Tuesday this week (February 4), North Yorkshire Police said in a statement today.

The statement added:

The digger is described as a grey and red Tekeuchi TB014, and the trailer is a grey Williams trailer with identifying number HC30322 etched into the tow bar. The trailer's registration is YE20 JYO.

The stolen items were seen being towed by a white Ford Transit, believed to be using false plates.

We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.

Anyone with information is urged to email jonathan.cleary@northyorkshire.police.uk or call 101, select option 2, and ask for Jonathan Cleary.
