Firefighters have been dealing overnight with a major blaze close to a main road at Allerton Park, near Knaresborough.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said in its overnight incident report eight appliances were called to 'a large barn fire' at 10.48pm.
The fire service posted reports sporadically through the morning. The most recent said:
Crews have been working overnight to protect surrounding buildings and fight the fire. An aerial ladder platform is been used as a water tower and farm machinery is being used to create a firebreak.
Crews remain at the scene and are likely to remain there for some time.

North Yorkshire Police also posted on social media at a similar time that 'the A168 is currently closed and is likely to be for the morning rush hour'.
However, motorists are reporting that traffic is flowing, albeit more slowly than usual.
The Stray Ferret contacted Allerton Park Estate, which includes Allerton Castle, about the fire. A spokesperson said the affected barn is not part of the estate.
