Filming increases in North Yorkshire after major new investment
There has been an increase in film crews descending on the district in recent months.
Production company, Screen Yorkshire, has revealed that the filming follows a significant investment.
The investment comes from the Yorkshire Content Fund, a public-private investment fund for the TV, film, video games and digital sectors in Yorkshire and Humber.
Screen Yorkshire has not shared the exact amount that has been invested. It told the Stray Ferret that the Yorkshire Content Fund has invested over £24m, an average of £1.7m per year over the last 12 years.
It added that the total production spend leveraged off the back of these investments has been an average of £21m for each year of operation.
Feature films The Choral, The Nest, Good Boy, and a four-part TV drama Reunion, have all been filming across Yorkshire, some of which are still in progress.
Part of The Choral, a BBC film starring Ralph Fiennes and written by Alan Bennett has been filmed in Harrogate, as reported by the Stray Ferret at the time.

The film is set in Yorkshire in 1916 where the chorus master and most of the men of the ambitious local Choral society have volunteered for the front.
Under the direction of Dr Guthrie (Fiennes), the Choral recruits a number of teenage boys and girls and together they discover the joys of singing and the urgency of desire as the new boys come to terms with their imminent conscription into the army.
