Fire crews investigated a report of a lightning strike at a wind turbine in Pannal this afternoon.
Crews from Harrogate and Wetherby attended the incident at Pannal Green at 2.27pm.
According a North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue incident log, the crew stood by while a turbine engineer investigated the fusebox.
The log added:
No other fire found inside premises after investigation with the fusebox believed to have done its job and preventing further damage following the strike.
It comes as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms this afternoon.
