Harrogate’s Victoria Shopping Centre will provide live big screen coverage of the Olympic Games, starting from tomorrow (July 26).
The giant screen was erected on the piazza outside the shopping centre, alongside Station Parade today and will remain in place until the closing ceremony on August 11.
The coverage is free and there will be deck chairs on the piazza for guests to watch the games.
The centre will begin showing the action from Paris with a broadcast of its opening ceremony.
Visitors don’t need to book - just turn up and enjoy the action.
Screenings will take place in accordance with centre opening hours from 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am-4.30pm on Sundays.

The centre will only show an hour of the opening ceremony from 5pm-6pm on July 26.
The deck chairs will be packed away each day, but the screen will remain in place for the duration of the Olympic games.
The centre has said it cannot accommodate people bringing their own chairs due to space and health and safety requirements.
The screen will alternate between coverage from BBC 1 and BBC 2.
A spokesperson for Victoria Shopping Centre said:
At Victoria Shopping Centre, we strive to be a hub for the Harrogate community, and we are therefore delighted to be launching this event to create a shared moment of celebration and unity in the town.
