As doors opened this morning at the newly-extended M&S Simply Food store on St Michael's Retail Park in Ripon, the Stray Ferret was on hand to see the smart layout.
The 4,000 sq ft increase in retail floorspace brings a larger in-store bakery and fresh produce selection, along with an enhanced wine shop offering.
The opening marks the culmination of a project that started when groundworks were begun last August. Construction of the extension itself started in January.
Store manager Rich Johnston said:
This is an exciting day, the expansion will enable us to provide our customers with a larger product offering, including more seasonal fruit and vegetables and a brand-new cheese barge.
