Ripon was in party mood at the weekend as thousands of residents and visitors packed its ancient streets and Market Square to celebrate St Wilfrid, the city's patron saint.
Antony Prince, chair of the St Wilfrid's Procession Committee, told the Stray Ferret:
Saturday proved a tremendous success and thanks go to our sponsors, the businesses and organisations who took part in the procession and the many volunteers who made it such an enjoyable day.
We had sunshine all the way and this added to the enjoyment of this very special occasion.
