A Harrogate man has been charged with growing cannabis plants from a house in the town.
Alexander Banner, 38, of Freesia Close, is accused of cultivating an unknown number of class B drugs at a property on Mount Street, which is off Leeds Road.
The case was opened and adjourned at York Crown Court on Saturday (March 22). It is next due to heard at York Crown Court on April 24.
Mr Banner has yet to enter a plea.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement on Saturday that officers from its neighbourhood policing team executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an unnamed address in Harrogate the previous day.
The statement said the officers “found and subsequently seized a large quantity of cash and cannabis plants” and a man was arrested.

Cannabis seized by police.
