A Harrogate man has been charged with a string of child sex offences.
Elwyn Taylor, of Skipton Road, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court today (February 7).
Mr Taylor faces 14 charges in total.
The 63-year-old faces one count of gross indecency with a boy, one count of indecent assault on a boy and six counts of indecent assault on a girl.
He is also accused of two counts of gross indecency with a girl, three counts of assaulting a girl by touching, and one count of rape of a girl under the age of 13.
All the incidents are alleged to have happened between 1996 and 2006.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Taylor will next appear on March 10.
A Knaresborough man has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a young girl.
Rhys Bolton, of Appleshaw Close, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court charged with one count of assaulting a young girl.
Court documents allege the incident happened in June 2022.
Mr Bolton spoke only to confirm his name, age and address, and to deny the charge.
The 20-year-old will appear at York Crown Court on March 10.
