A Harrogate man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a woman and attacking three police officers.
Wayne Herrington, 45, of Scargill Road, was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment at a trial he did not attend on Monday (June 16).
Herrington was found guilty of non-consensual sexual touching of a woman in the Jennyfields area on December 24 last year.
He was also convicted for attacking three police constables at the same address on the same day.
Herrington denied all the charges on December 26 last year but was found guilty in his absence at Monday's trial at York Magistrates Court.
A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest so he could be brought before the court for the sentence to be confirmed.
Herrington was also ordered to pay a total of £250 compensation to his victims.
