Harrogate Music Weekender is set to return to the town for the second year running.
Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID) held the inaugural event last year and will be bringing it back this October.
The BID, which is funded by a levy paid by town centre businesses, organises initiatives that boost the town centre.
The three-day music event, which will be held in venues around the town, hopes to showcase Harrogate's hospitality scene and increase footfall to local businesses.
It will include live performances by musicians, DJs and street entertainers.
The BID’s operations and projects executive, Bethany Allen, today said the event will be “bigger and better this year”.
She added:
We’re so excited for the music weekender fun to return to our town!
It proved to be a huge hit last year, with really positive feedback coming from local businesses, residents and visitors.
It’s a fantastic way of highlighting our town’s excellent hospitality and night-time economy offer – and we can’t wait to share what we’ve got coming up this year!
We’re bringing the event back bigger and better this year, so watch this space for further releases soon.
The BID has encouraged town-centre businesses and venues to get involved in the event, and is set to hold a drop-in session for those wanting more information next week.
It will be held at The Den, on Cambridge Road, at 4pm on Thursday, September 5.
The organisation added it will provide match-funding to venues introducing a “new or additional” event to the usual Harrogate Music Weekender schedule.
Harrogate Music Weekender will take place from October 11 to 13.
