Harrogate town centre road to be closed for 15 weeks
A Harrogate town centre road is set to close for 15 weeks.
Raglan Street is set to close between Wednesday, July 22, and Monday, November 9, according to signage put in place by NYHighways.
The road will be closed for roadworks, which will see work carried out on the footpath and kerb.
According to North Yorkshire Council’s roadworks map, the work is part of a footway reconstruction and kerbing scheme.
A diversion for drivers will also be in place.
The move to carry out the improvements to the footpath on Raglan Street comes as nearby Victoria Avenue was recently dug up for the second time in nine months.
The work was carried out to allow Northern Powergrid to join up cables for lighting on the footpath.
According to the council’s roadworks map, the work was associated with improved lighting as part of the council’s active travel plan for the road.
