A high-end clothing brand appears to be opening a Harrogate store.
ME+EM markets itself as a high-quality womenswear brand, which offers customers a “wear-forever appeal”.
It currently has shops across the US, as well as London, Manchester and Edinburgh, but local fashion lovers could soon get their hands on ME+EM pieces in Harrogate town centre.
CJF Design Projects Ltd last week submitted plans to North Yorkshire Council seeking approval to put up an external sign at a unit on Prospect Crescent.
Documents uploaded as part of the application show the proposed signage – the ME+EM logo – displayed at the front of the unit (see below).

Plans say the sign would be illuminated and made of brass, and new glazed doors would also be installed.
The Stray Ferret approached ME+EM for comment on the plans. We asked when the Harrogate store could open and if local people would be employed.
We had not received a response at the time of publication.

Clare Hornby founded ME+EM in 2009.
The British brand has since been labelled the “working woman’s MVP [most valuable player]” by Vogue.
