A Harrogate village pub which dates back to the 16th century has gone on the market.
The freehold of The Punch Bowl Inn in Marton-cum-Grafton is up for sale for £695,000.
The pub on Grafton Lane is currently owned by Provenance Inns Ltd and is a grade-II listed building.
Agents Everard Cole Ltd, which is based in Otley, have the property on the market for £695,000 and describe it as “rich in atmosphere, with exposed beams, open fires and a series of intimate rooms that lend themselves naturally to relaxed but refined dining”.
The pub has multiple dining areas, private rooms and what is described as an “extensive commercial kitchen already in place”.
It also includes a detached function or meeting room.
According to estate agents the pub “offers clear potential for a chef-led concept focused on seasonal menus, local produce and modern British cooking”.
The Punch Bowl Inn had previously been operated as a pub and restaurant.
However, the agents said the owners were now looking to sell the premises after the “changing direction of their business”.
