Craftmanship is at the very heart of Knaresborough Kitchens. With more than 50 years of combined experience in the design, supply, and installation of fitted kitchens there’s something for every budget and style.

Indeed, when it comes to one of the key rooms in the house where a lot of us spend our time thanks to ‘living kitchens’, there are countless looks to choose from such as a shaker style, a modern look, a traditional feel, handleless or a bespoke kitchen.

But how do you choose the all-important company to help you to create your dream space? The Stray Ferret speaks to a customer who lives near Jacob Smith Park and who chose Knaresborough Kitchens, which has been designing and installing beautiful kitchens since 1996, to find out more about their experience…

Why did you choose Knaresborough Kitchens to design and create your kitchen?

As soon as I met Hazel Bond, design consultant at Knaresborough Kitchens, I knew she saw my vision and understood my style and would help make the vision I had in my head come true.

This personal touch made such a difference and was much easier than working with a remote planner. She was also great fun to work with and made the whole process enjoyable.

It also helped that the company has lovely kitchens which weren’t overpriced.

How did the team help you to decide and plan your new kitchen?

They have great planning tools which meant I could check if my ideas were practical – some were not! – but that was a minor part of it.

The main help were the ideas Knaresborough Kitchens added that I would never have thought of myself to make the kitchen even better.

It was also great to be able to see all the suggestions in their extensive showroom. I hate going through brochures and much prefer seeing things in real life.

What were you most impressed with?

I had just moved to Knaresborough from the South Coast and really wanted to use local companies for my house renovation.

I was delighted to find Knaresborough Kitchens with lovely kitchens right on my doorstep.

What are your favourite elements of your new kitchen?

I love the curves that we managed to incorporate into the design. This was something I was very keen on and while they hadn’t done some of the elements before, Hazel was not deterred and made the dream come true.

How has your new kitchen made a difference to your home?

The new kitchen brought light and space. Instead of being just a functional room for cooking and eating; it has now become the heart of the home.

If you could give anyone who is looking for a new kitchen advice or a suggestion, what would you recommend?

Think carefully about what you want to use your kitchen for – is it a fun family space or a place for serious cooking and entertaining?

Also, don’t be scared of bringing in your personal style, kitchens can often all the look the same and we can forget to bring in our personality.
