Local holiday makers will soon be able to travel to a major Moroccan city from Leeds Bradford Airport.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has announced it will begin operating flights between Leeds Bradford Airport and Marrakech this year - adding to its North African flight offering.

The airport said continued demand for travel to Morocco prompted it to launch the new route in addition to its existing flights to Agadir.

Flights between Leeds Bradford Airport and Marrakech will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, from October 3, 2025, until April 28, 2026.

Steve Heapy, chief executive at Jet2 and Jet2holidays, said:

We are very excited to be giving Yorkshire holidaymakers even more choice thanks to the addition of Marrakech to our programme, and we know this brand-new route will be extremely popular.

Our award-winning formula continues to delight customers and independent travel agents across the region, enabling us to add even more choice for them to enjoy.

Tom Holdsworth, aviation manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, also said the airport was thrilled about the new flight offering.

He added:

At the airport we pride ourselves on making destinations easily accessible for those in Yorkshire and with Morocco being such a sought-after destination for local holiday makers, it is incredibly exciting to have Jet2 operating this route for the winter 25/26 season, which we expect to be very popular.
