A luxury Harrogate care home is under new ownership.
Harcourt Gardens, on Harcourt Road, is one of six homes sold by Springfield Healthcare Group. The others are Seacroft Grange and Seacroft Green in Leeds, Mayfield View in Ilkley, The Chocolate Works in York and Chapter House in Beverley.
Harcourt Gardens, which has a gym, bar and cinema room, is now owned by health and social care service provider WT UK Opco 4 Ltd and operated by care home provider Care UK, according to Care UK’s website.
Springfield Healthcare provided more than 500 registered care beds and employed 700 people prior to the sale.
Springfield founder and chief executive Graeme Lee, who lives in Harrogate, continues to own and operate Springfield Garforth Care Home in Leeds and domiciliary care business Springfield Home Care Services.
Mr Lee also plans to proceed with plans to transform Grove House, the grade two listed building off Skipton Road that was once home of Harrogate mayor, inventor and philanthropist Samson Fox.

The sale comes after equity investor BGF ended its 12-year partnership with Springfield. BGF had injected £31 million of growth capital that enabled Springfield to build new homes.
Mr Lee said said he was confident the homes and staff would "continue to flourish" following the sale, adding:
Our partnership with BGF has been truly transformative, positioning Springfield as a leading provider in the care sector and enabling us to expand our presence significantly over the last decade.
Ben Barker, head of portfolio at BGF, added:
This exit represents one of the largest ever gains for BGF, following a 12-year partnership and a commitment to supporting the company’s aspirations. The outcome is the result of shared partnership values, thoughtful growth plans, and an exceptional management team. We wish everyone at Springfield all the best for the future.
Work has still to begin on Grove House, which will be converted into a care complex consisting of 24 flats. In addition, a 62-bed care home and eight houses providing supported living for over-65s will be built on adjoining land.
