A 90-year-old man has been rescued after suffering a fall at Thruscross Reservoir.
Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association was called to the reservoir yesterday (August 26) by Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service.
The volunteers rescuers were asked to assist with the rescue of the man, who had slipped and banged his head whilst walking around the reservoir.
Air ambulance paramedics arrived at the scene just before the fell rescuers and assessed the man. The crew transported the casualty to nearby Whitmoor Farm, where he was looked after by road ambulance paramedics.
The fell rescue team remained at the scene in case they were needed again, but stood down once the man had been safely transferred.
The team wished the man a speedy recovery.
Scout was hauled to safety by the rescue team.
Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association was also called out by North Yorkshire Police to assist with rescuing a nine-year-old dog.
The fell rescuers said on social media the incident happened on Sunday (August 25), when a working cocker spaniel, named Scout, had fallen down a four-metre hole in the Guisecliff area.
The team set up a haul system and placed Scout in an animal rescue bag, before he was hauled back to the surface and to safety.
