A man and a woman have been arrested following a high-speed police chase.
North Yorkshire Police today said the pair were caught in the early hours of this morning (April 30) following a pursuit that culminated in Knaresborough.
A vehicle believed to be linked to drug dealing failed to stop for officers, who spotted the car near Menwith Hill.
The car drove off towards Harrogate along the A59 and through local villages, the force said, adding it reached speeds of up to 90mph.
Officers deployed a stinger near Bond End, which led the car to stop near a residential street.
The male suspect ran away from the car, but police located him at a nearby address, where he was arrested.
The 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for the police and suspected vehicle theft.
A 44-year-old woman, who remained in the vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.
Both currently remain in police custody for questioning.
