Man arrested over Ripon upskirting incident

A man has been arrested in connection with a police investigation into an upskirting incident in Ripon.

North Yorkshire Police issued two appeals on Friday in which it said a man had followed an 11-year-old girl, lifted her skirt, and took a photograph as she walked to school on the morning of Friday 7 June.

The constabulary said in an update today:

We can now update that a 26-year-old man from Ripon has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed with conditions pending further investigation.
