A man was seriously injured in today's (November 6) early morning crash in Knaresborough, police have revealed.
The single-vehicle collision, which happened at around 6.20am, involved a beige Nissan Qashqai.
According to a statement this afternoon by North Yorkshire Police, the sole occupant of the vehicle — a local male in his 40s — was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.
The A6055 between Boroughbridge Road and Bond End was closed for several hours.
The update said:
We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision on the A6055 Boroughbridge Road in Knaresborough.
The road was closed for some time to allow for our collision unit to investigate the scene.
We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.
