Sunflower Bakery, on Montpellier Parade in Harrogate, is to officially open on Saturday (August 3).
The shop has been in the works for eight months, and will be the third of its kind following similar ventures in Boroughbridge and Thirsk.
Work preparing the store has been underway since its soft opening on Sunday, and there are plans to add outdoor seating in the next few weeks.
Owner Kelly Days has been interested in baking for years and established the business in 2012. She said:

I started my own baking business when I was seven, selling cakes to my neighbours.
I've been interested in baking my whole life.

The shop sells a range of baked goods, from brownies to cupcakes, as well as hundreds of items in its online store.
Sunflower Bakery also caters for group and private classes downstairs in its baking school.
It will offer regular workshops for adults and children, who can learn how to bake anything from statement cakes to macarons. These tutorials are also available virtually.

Ms Days said she wants to bring brightness and fun to Harrogate, as reflected by the shop's striking pink exterior.
At the Harrogate branch's official opening this Saturday, staff will hand out sunflowers and free cupcakes to the first 100 customers.
