A plan to build three new homes in Follifoot has been approved.
Rudding Park Estate submitted the proposal to North Yorkshire Council for land owned by the estate on Pannal Road in the village.
The plan will see three new detatched homes built on the site, which was previously used for horse grazing.
North Yorkshire Council approved the proposal this past week.
In planning documents submitted to the council, the developer said the site represents a “natural infill site” for new homes which would respect the “historic character of the area while meeting modern living and sustainability standards”.
The new homes will be open market properties and include two, three and four bedroom houses with garages and parking spaces.
The estate added that the development will be “deliberately setback” from Pannal Road to allow for access and landscaping.
In its planning statement, it said:
We feel that the proposed scheme is respectful of the character of this area of Pannal Road. The amount of development does not present an over-development of the site and is suitable to its context.
