An art gallery in Pateley Bridge is set to close next month.
Claire Baxter Gallery, on the High Street, announced the news “with the heaviest of hearts” last night (November 14).
Owner Claire Baxter, who also has a gallery in Knaresborough, told social media followers she is “heartbroken” to be closing the Pateley site, which opened six years ago.
She said:
We will be relocating but I am unable to confirm where or when, as we have only just found out.

Ms Baxter today told the Stray Ferret the move was not her decision. She added:
I was unable to renew the lease and I am now looking forward to finding a new premises.
My Knaresborough gallery is open as usual and I'm busy working on my new collection, which is to be released in 2025.
Ms Baxter assured customers the gallery will re-open elsewhere next year, adding:
I want to thank everyone for your support over the years. Please keep supporting us as we move to the next chapter.
The Pateley Bridge branch will open for the last time on Christmas Eve (December 24).
