Police reopen Ripon bridge

A bridge that connects Ripon and Boroughbridge has reopened after being shut due to damage.

North Yorkshire Police this afternoon (February 18) said a full closure was in place at Hewick Bridge over the River Ure between Ripon and Bridge Hewick.

A police update at 1.25pm said the road had reopened. 

No details of what damage occurred or what action was taken has been released.
