A police cordon has been put up at Montpellier Gardens in Harrogate.
The cordon was in place when the Stray Ferret visited the scene at around 8.40am this morning (August 18). It is not yet known why it has been erected.
A number of North Yorkshire Police officers were at the scene this morning, but declined to reveal what was happening.
A small green tent has also been put up inside the cordon.
The garden area is closed to the public but Montpellier Square and Montpellier Hill remain open to traffic.
