North Yorkshire Police are currently investigating an incident believed to have happened last night in Allhallows Park in Ripon.
All entrances to the park – a children’s playground adjacent to the St Marygate car park – have been cordoned off with blue and white tape, and police officers are guarding the area.

The officers have been at the scene since midday today, but were unable to give any other information, other than to confirm that they are dealing with a "serious incident".
