Police reveal reason for overnight helicopter in Harrogate
North Yorkshire Police has revealed the reason why it deployed a helicopter over Harrogate last night.
The helicopter was active from about 4am to 4.30am.
The Stray Ferret asked the constabulary why the helicopter had been used.
A spokesperson said:
We responded to a report of concern for the welfare of a man who left the grounds of Harrogate District Hospital in the early hours of today. The police helicopter was deployed to assist. He was subsequently found safe.
