Police are seeking information following a fail-to-stop crash in Killinghall last week.
North Yorkshire Police today (February 23) said the collision occurred at around 12.15pm last Thursday (February 19) on the A61 Ripon Road.
A small, dark blue car collided with a white Vauxhall Vivaro van at the time.
Police said not only did the blue car damage the Vauxhall van but also “narrowly avoided the vehicle owner”, who was standing at the side of their van wearing orange high-vis clothing.
The wing mirror of the blue car was also left at the scene.
Today’s statement added:
We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and for any dashcam or doorbell/CCTV footage in the area that may have captured the collision or vehicle passing by.
Please email fiona.wilding@northyorkshire.police.uk if you have any information or footage that could help our investigation.
