Tickets for next year’s Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate will go on sale on Tuesday next week (November 12), organisers announced today.

The 166th show will be held from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11. Tickets are now only sold in advance, with visitor numbers capped at 35,000 a day.

Organised by the farming charity Yorkshire Agricultural Society, the event has sold out at least a week before it started every year since tickets went to advance sales-only in 2021.

Adult tickets cost £36.50, child tickets are £13 and family tickets, which allow entry for two adults and up to three children, are £89. They cost £35, £13 and £86 respectively last year.

Next year’s show will be the first for show director Rachel Coates, the first woman to take the helm.

She said:

I have been attending the show since I was 18, a member of the GYS cattle committee for a number of years, and my family has had success showing our dairy cattle here over the last 15 years so it’s very close to my heart.

It really is a celebration for farming for everyone and I look forward to welcoming our visitors next year.

Membership of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society will be on sale from Tuesday, November 19. Single membership is £90 and joint membership is £150.
