Warning: this article contains distressing information.
A Ripon man has admitted to possessing images of child sexual abuse.
Roystone Roe, 22, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court yesterday (January 29) charged with making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
He was also accused of possessing extreme pornographic images involving an animal.
He admitted both charges.
Roe, of Clotherholme Park, possessed two category A images – the most serious kind – on his phone on September 1, 2023.
The images portrayed a child being sexually abused by an adult male.
The defendant also possessed two images of sex between a female and a dog on September 23, 2023.
The case was immediately adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Roe was released on conditional bail and will return to Harrogate Magistrates Court for sentence on April 10.
