Boy threatens man with knife in Harrogate

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager threatened a man with a knife in Harrogate.

According to a North Yorkshire Police statement today (April 22), the incident took place at the junction of Slingsby Walk and Saint James’ Drive at about 4pm on April 10.

The statement said the victim was approached by a suspect described as white, aged around 15/16 years of age, about 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with brown hair. He was wearing a black puffer style jacket with the hood up at.

It added:

As he approached the victim, the suspect pointed the knife at him. The victim began shouting to attract attention, at which point the suspect the looked around the area to see if there was anyone around before running off over the railway line and towards Leeds Road.

The victim was not hurt during the incident.
