Two people, including a teenager, have been arrested after breaking into and stealing items from cars in Starbeck.

North Yorkshire Police today said the incidents, which happened on First Avenue and South Beech Avenue, took place at around 1am on July 22.

The force added the suspects broke into multiple cars and took items from inside them.

A boy, 16, and a woman, 41, were arrested and released on conditional bail following the incident.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information to assist with the investigation:

We are particularly seeking information that could assist our investigation into the thefts from the vehicles involved.

This includes any sightings of the individuals involved, suspicious activity at the time of the incident, or CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell camera footage that may have captured these events.
