Harrogate businessman receives conditional discharge
A well-known Harrogate businessman has received a conditional discharge for breaching a restraining order.
Jason Shaw, 55, of Rutland Drive, appeared at York Crown Court yesterday (September 2).
Shaw - who owns Pineheath, the historic, 12-bedroom mansion on Cornwall Road - had also been accused of stalking the named woman between November 2023 and March this year.
However, that charge was dropped by the prosecution.
He admitted breaching the restraining order and was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
This means he is subject to no punishment provided he doesn't commit any further offences during this period.
