No further Covid deaths in district’s care homes or hospital

For the second week running, there have been no further Covid-related deaths in care homes across the Harrogate district.

Figures released today, which cover the weekly period up to July 17, show the number of deaths in the district’s care homes since the start of the pandemic remains at 104.

Meanwhile, Harrogate District NHS Foundation Trust has also not recorded any deaths in patients with covid for the 13th consecutive day. The total number of deaths at the hospital since the outbreak began is 82.

Data released today by NHS England shows that a further 12 people who had tested positive for the coronavirus have died, including one in the North East and Yorkshire. They were aged between 45 and 99, and all had known underlying health conditions.

Harrogate hospital reports no new coronavirus deaths

No further deaths of patients who tested positive for coronavirus have been reported at Harrogate District Hospital, according to today’s NHS figures.

It means the total number of deaths at the district hospital remains at 80.

Nationally, a further 51 people who tested positive for covid-19 have died in hospitals with eight confirmed to have died in Yorkshire and the North East.

NHS England said the patients were aged between 48 and 96 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.

It means the coronavirus death toll in hospitals across England has increased to 28,435.

Coronavirus death toll at Harrogate Hospital hits 80

Another patient has died with coronavirus at Harrogate District Hospital, bringing the total number of deaths at the hospital to 80.

Figures released today by NHS England show the patient died on Thursday, June 18.

The death is one of 71 confirmed today across the country, with eight of those in the North East and Yorkshire. All of the 71 patients were aged between 41 and 95 years old, and only one of them had no known underlying health conditions.

The total number of deaths confirmed by NHS England since the start of the outbreak is 28,292.

Harrogate hospital discharges 125 coronavirus patients as one more dies

Harrogate District Hospital has now discharged 125 coronavirus patients but has reported another death.

It is an increase of seven recoveries compared to last week’s figures.

The hospital also recorded another death. The patient died yesterday and was reported with 83 deaths across England’s hospitals.

Patients were aged between 26 and 102 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.

This latest death at Harrogate District Hospital takes its total number up to 73 deaths.

One more coronavirus death at Harrogate District Hospital

A patient with coronavirus died yesterday at Harrogate District Hospital, it was confirmed today.

It brings the total number of deaths under Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust to 56, while the trust announced last Thursday that it had treated and discharged 97 patients with coronavirus since the outbreak began.

Outside the hospital, the latest information from the ONS shows there have been 51 deaths in care homes in the district.

NHS England has today reported 174 deaths across the country, in patients aged between seven and 102. Of those, six patients – aged between 45 and 90 – had no known underlying health conditions.

The organisation has reported that its Covid-10 patient notification system was not operating for a period of time on Saturday, meaning some of the deaths reported during that time may come through in data released later this week.

No further coronavirus deaths reported at Harrogate hospital

For the third consecutive day, there have been no new confirmed coronavirus deaths at Harrogate District Hospital.

The total number of deaths at the hospital remains 54, in figures released by NHS England today.

Across the country, 181 more deaths have been confirmed in today’s statistics, in patients aged between 39 and 98. Of those, seven patients, aged between 43 and 67, had no known underlying health conditions.

This week, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust confirmed it had discharged 97 people after treatment for coronavirus, since the start of the outbreak.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths in care homes relating to Covid-19 stood at 54 in statistics released this week, covering the period to May 1.

No further coronavirus deaths at Harrogate District Hospital

There have been no further deaths in patients with Covid-19 at Harrogate District Hospital, according to figures released today.

The last confirmed death was on Monday, May 4th, meaning there have been six days with zero deaths reported at the hospital.

The numbers released by NHS England today cover deaths confirmed up to yesterday evening. However, it can take several days for deaths to be confirmed, especially over weekends and bank holidays, so that data could still change over the coming week.

Nationally, NHS England said there have been 209 deaths in patients aged between 40 and 99. Of those, 12 patients aged between 55 and 97 had no known underlying health conditions.

Statistics released by the NHS only cover patients who died in hospitals. As well as the 51 patients who have died to date at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, there were 39 deaths in the community, including care homes, up to April 24th.

The hospital confirmed on Thursday that it had discharged 82 patients after treatment for coronavirus.

No further deaths have been reported by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust in the data released by NHS England today.

The total for the district stands at 51 deaths, with the hospital confirming on Thursday that 82 patients had been discharged after treatment for Covid-19.

The last death confirmed by the trust was on Monday, May 4th. However, it can take several days for deaths to be confirmed and added to official figures, particularly over weekends.

Today’s figures show a further 207 deaths confirmed across England, in people aged between 37 and 100. Of those, 19 patients, aged between 60 and 95, had no known underlying health conditions.

Statistics released by NHS England only cover patients who were treated and died in hospitals. A further 39 people had died in the community across the Harrogate district until April 24, according to information released by the Office for National Statistics this week.

One more coronavirus death reported at Harrogate District Hospital

Another patient has died at Harrogate District Hospital after being diagnosed with coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths under Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust to 48.

The hospital this week confirmed that it has treated and discharged 70 patients diagnosed with Covid-19.

The patient died yesterday, May 1st, according to details released today by NHS England, which confirmed 370 deaths across the country. It brings the total for England to 20,853.

Of those confirmed today to have died, 25 had no known underlying health conditions. All patients were aged between 38 and 100.

NHS England has this week begun releasing daily data for deaths where the patient did not have a confirmed diagnosis, but where Covid-19 was listed on the death certificate. The statistics are only available for deaths which have occurred since April 24th, and are only divided by region.

In the North East and Yorkshire, five patients have this week died with suspected Covid-19. The total number of deaths in the region since the outbreak is 2,839, but this does not include deaths outside hospitals, such as in care homes.

This week, for the first time, data was released to show the number of deaths in care homes and other areas of the community in patients with suspected Covid-19. In the Harrogate district, 22 people are reported to have died with symptoms of the virus up to April 17th.

Thirty patients have now died with coronavirus at Harrogate District Hospital – but the first ventilator patient has been discharged

Thirty patients are now confirmed to have died with coronavirus at Harrogate District Hospital.

NHS England released the figures today, which reveal two more deaths happened on Thursday, April 18th, bringing the total for that day to three. No deaths have yet been reported for yesterday, Friday, by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

Across England, a further 784 deaths have been confirmed, contributing to the 888 across the UK. It brings the UK’s total death county to more than 15,000.

This week, the hospital confirmed it has treated and discharged 51 patients so far. It has also announced that the first patient has been discharged after treatment for coronavirus on a ventilator. Staff are understood to have applauded as the patient left the hospital.
