Stuzzi to host Sicilian rotisserie chicken pop-up in Harrogate

Stuzzi will host a one-day Sicilian rotisserie chicken pop-up this late bank holiday Sunday, May 24, serving a menu inspired by street food found in Sicily.

Running from 12 noon until 6pm, the event takes its inspiration from Coccinella, a small village north of Palermo where rotisserie chicken is traditionally served over roast potatoes cooked in chicken gravy.

The menu will include rotisserie chicken, roast potatoes, seasonal salads, stuzzichini, arancini, spritz cocktails and Sicilian Messina beer. The restaurant has also hinted at a Yorkshire pudding filled with chicken and gravy might be on the menu.

The pop-up follows a series of themed bank holiday events previously held by the restaurant, including Après Ski and Stuzzi Fish Shack.

Bookings are recommended. 12noon-6pm, May 24, 46B Kings Road, Harrogate, HG1 5JW.

Free Sunday concerts return across the Harrogate district

From the end of May through to early September, Sunday afternoons across the Harrogate district will once again be filled with the sound of live music, as bands, choirs and musical groups take part in a programme of free outdoor concerts between 2pm and 4pm.

Set in some of the area’s most picturesque locations, the performances offer residents and visitors the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment in beautiful surroundings.

Concerts will take place at Valley Gardens in Harrogate, the Castle Grounds in Knaresborough, Spa Gardens in Ripon and the Recreation Ground in Pateley Bridge. Organised by North Yorkshire Council, admission is free, though voluntary collections may be taken to help support the performers and their expenses.

This Sunday, May 24, audiences can enjoy performances from Ripon and Harrogate Rock Choir at Valley Gardens in Harrogate, Amelie Williams at the Castle Grounds in Knaresborough, The Woodside Big Band at Spa Gardens in Ripon, and The Wednesday Flowers at the Recreation Ground in Pateley Bridge.
