The body of a man in his 20s has been found in Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Police was alerted to the news yesterday (January 29).
Officers subsequently cordoned off part of the Harrogate Ringway footpath, as reported last night by the Stray Ferret, and deployed officers on site to prevent people crossing.
Entrances to the ringway on Kent Road and Oakdale Glen were both closed.
A spokesperson for the force said this morning:
We were called with a report that a man's body had been found in the Oakdale area of Harrogate yesterday morning.
Officers attended and located the body of man in his 20s. His family have been informed. Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of his death.
We will provide further information when it becomes available.
