A developer has submitted a plan to convert a Harrogate office block into flats.
Hornbeam Park Developments has tabled the plan to North Yorkshire Council for Strayside House on West Park.
The proposal would see the block converted into two flats.
According to planning documents, the properties would be created on the first and second floor of the building by subdividing the property.
The ground floor would be retained as a communal entrance and an existing cycle storage to the back of the building would be retained.
The developer said:
The proposed conversion will contribute to the local housing supply without compromising the commercial vitality of the area. The development makes efficient use of previously developed land, aligns with the government’s objective to boost housing delivery, and is fully compliant with all conditions and limitations.
North Yorkshire Council will make a decision on the plan at a later date.
