According to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Knaresborough, Ripon and Harrogate crews responded to a woman who had fallen into the river at Knaresborough at 1.13am on Sunday morning.
The incident report said water rescue equipment was deployed to help the woman, who was then left with paramedics. No further details were revealed.
The busy weekend for firefighters also included a call-out at 8.23am yesterday (Sunday) for Harrogate firefighters to rescue a deer trapped in railings on Arthurs Avenue in Harrogate.
The incident report said: “Crew power used to release animal, which then made its way to undergrowth in the area. RSPCA informed.”
