Yellow warning for snow and ice across Harrogate district
The Met Office today issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across the north of England and Scotland.
The warning, which includes the Harrogate district, is in place from 10am on Monday (November 18) until 10am on Tuesday (November 19).
Rain and cloud are currently forecast for most of the local area over the two-day period, but this could change.
Temperatures will drop quite significantly, with a high of around four degrees across the district on Monday and Tuesday.

Snow is predicted to fall at Greenhow Hill - one of the highest parts of the district - which will reach a high of around two degrees on both days. It will feel as cold as minus seven, the Met Office predicts.
The forecast says there is a small chance of disruption, including impact on phone coverage or potential power cuts, during the weather warning.
There is also a “slight chance” rural communities could be cut off, the Met Office says, adding the weather could also mean public transport is affected.
