Tesco is on target to meet the November 20 opening date for its 18,000 sq ft superstore at Marshall Way Retail Park in Ripon.
On that day, a new parking regime will come into effect at the retail park, which is also home to Fat Face, Poundstretcher, the YMCA charity shop and Core Fitness gym.
This morning (Monday) shopfitters, who confirmed that the store's opening is on schedule, were busily putting shelving in place.
As work progresses, parking spaces will remain temporarily reduced.
The new parking tariffs come into effect on November 20, when the superstore opens.
With the car park now operated by Tesco, new parking machines have been installed.
Shoppers who spend £5 or more in the new store can park free of charge for up to two hours and short stay drivers can park free for 30 minutes.
For those not shopping at Tesco, the parking tariff is £1 for an hour and £1.50 for two hours.

In May, the Stray Ferret, which has a reporter based in Ripon and covers all aspects of life in the city, exclusively reported that retail giant Tesco had taken over the lease on the former Booths store.
