A woman in her 80s was seriously injured in a collision near Ripon at the weekend.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident, which happened on the A6108 near West Tanfield Cricket Club, occurred at around 2.30pm on Saturday (August 24).
It involved a blue Suzuki motorbike, ridden by a man in his 60s from Harrogate, and the female pedestrian, who is from the Hambleton area.
The woman was airlifted to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries and remains there, the force said on Sunday.
The road was closed until 7.15pm while emergency services responded to the incident and to allow a forensic investigation to take place.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or footage of the incident:
